Frequently Asked Questions
Anytime you need to build a house or renovate an existing structure, the zoning administrator must approve your project. To do that, you must fill out a Zoning Compliance Form that will determine if what you wish to do is permitted by the current Ravenna Township zoning and ordinances. Once you are approved by the zoning administrator, you have to obtain the proper permits as issued by the building department/inspectors. Visit the Building Department drop-down tab on the home page for more information.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) had some significant changes occur in 2015 as the Michigan State legislature rewrote existing FOIA legislation. The newest procedures to request information from the Township of Ravenna can be found by clicking on the links given below. As always, should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call or stop into the township offices. Our goal as township officials is to be as transparent to the public as possible.
